In Los Angeles we have Malibu, and New York has The Hamptons. But with SBE’s new Hollywood nightclub The Colony, Angelenos have The Hamptons too! The Cahuenga space that is the former home of hot spot White Lotus has finally found it’s niche. The Colony transports The Hamptons lifestyle to the west coast featuring a themed outdoor area that conjures images of a boardwalk on the eastern seaboard with wood-plank floors, beach cushions in the booths, and even a netted shallow swimming pool (so you don’t have to worry about falling in after nibbling on some of their sushi gelatin. Yes! Vodka infused gelatin wrapped in fruit nori. It doesn’t get more glam than that folks.) If that wasn’t enough to get you in the door, how about the shopping? Welcome to “the shop” at The Colony designed by Louise Roe. SBE knows drinking and shopping are women’s favorite pastimes and they make the deal even sweeter by selling one-of-a-kind Chanel and Balenciaga scarves and art, in addition to more affordable items like Havianas flip-flops. If the nightclub scene is more your cup of tea, attached to the boardwalk is a nightclub complete with strobe lights and a disco ball. The DJ blasts Top 40 pop, European hits, and hip-hop so after you have a relaxing cocktail at “the beach” you can shake your thing on the dance floor.
